About sally

Hi! I’m Sally, a wife, mom, cookie baker, freelance food stylist, and food stylist assistant. Whew, that’s a lot of info and the path to where I am today is quite interesting.

I went to Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy), where I majored in Family and Consumer Science with an emphasis in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Business. After graduating college, I moved to Birmingham and have lived in the metro area since. My first career was in banking, but I left the workforce in 2009 to stay home with my children while they were little. I got into cookie baking and decorating around when my oldest son turned 4. And the why behind that is because I was at home-A LOT.

I made decorated sugar cookies for his birthday party, and they were a huge hit. Immediately, I was hooked on baking and decorating cookies. A lot has changed since I iced my first set of cookies as a hobby.

Fast forward to today, it has been a longtime goal of mine to publish a blog where I can share a peek into my world, cookies and all. My journey into the food world has expanded exponentially (outside of just cookie baking) because I have worked as a freelance food stylist and food stylist assistant for over four years. I’ve had the opportunity to work with amazing people, brands, and food. I’m going to share my work, recipes, tips and tricks, and reasons to make y’all smile on this blog. Thanks for stopping by!
